WHAT IS A TAXPAYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (TIN)?
A TIN is a Social Security Number (SSN) issued by the Social Security Administration (SSA) or an Employer Identification Number (EIN) issued by the IRS. A TIN can have only nine (9) numbers. It cannot have more or less than nine numbers nor can it have letters.
WHY DO I NEED TO PROVIDE MY TIN?
As a payer, Penn Natural Resources is obligated to provide all payee’s TIN to IRS (according to IRS Publication 1281).
WHAT DO I DO IF MY CHECK IS LOST, STOLEN, OR DATED EARLIER THAN 180 DAYS?
Please allow 7-10 business days for your check to arrive in the mail. If your check is lost, stolen or dated prior 180 days, please call our local office at 724-465-9199.
WHAT TYPE OF STATEMENT WILL I RECEIVE ANNUALLY?
Royalty interest owners, receiving more than $10 annually, will be issued IRS Form 1099-Miscellaneous.
HOW DO I UPDATE MY ADDRESS?
